PRIVATE air travel company PropStar Aviation is hoping to reach new heights with the latest addition to its fleet.
The Kemble-based service has just taken delivery of a nine- seater King Air BE 200. The twin turbo-prop aircraft, capable of flying as far as Sardinia, Majorca and Italy, joins PropStar’s fleet of Seneca Vs based at the Cotswold Airport.
Managing director Ed Hewertson said the arrival of the King Air marked an important development for PropStar’s air charter service, which already has a solid reputation for reliability, efficiency, comfort and convenience. “The new plane gives us a whole new capability,” said Mr Hewertson.
“It allows us to fly up to nine people at a time to airfields close to their final destinations and saves them valuable time in terms of the hours that would be involved in travelling to major airports and waiting for check- in.
“The new King Air opens up many new destinations and allows our customers to travel door to door within the shortest possible time. For example, we can fly from Kemble to Sardinia within three and a half hours.”
The King Air is one of the world’s most popular light aircraft, with more than 7,000 in existence, and is well regarded for its quality, safety, reliability and versatility.
“It flies at 27,000 feet – well above the weather,” said Mr Hewertson. “It is also very luxurious, with plenty of space for our customers.”
PropStar has recently expanded its flying team to three fully qualified and highly experienced full time pilots, which means that the King Air is always available
